Tuo Wei, Ph.D., Principal Investigator of  State Key Laboratory of Stem cell and Reproductive Biology, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Wei got her Ph.D. degree from the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Aix-Marseille University, France, under the supervision of Professor Xing-Jie Liang and Dr. Ling Peng. Then she started her postocotral training in United States. From 2015 to 2021, Dr. Wei wored as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and UTSouthwestern Medical Center. The central goal of Dr. Wei lab is to develop highly-efficient, low-toxic nanodrug delivery systems for cancer and genetic diseases therapy. In recent years, Dr. Wei has constructed and optimized a series of efficient nanodrug delivery systems for small molecule drugs, RNA, and CRISPR/Cas systems. Till now, she has published 33 papers in highly impacted journals, including Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Proc Natl Acad Sci USA, Nano Letters, etc. (5 of them are ESI highly cited papers). The total citation is over 3,200 times, h-index is 24 (from Google Scholar). 6 patents have been applied, of which 2 PCT patents have been licensed to company for clinical transformation. She is now the Editorial Board Member of "Journal of Functional Biomaterials" and the Young Editorial Board Member of the journal of "Exploration". In addition, she has served as independent reviewers for Journal of Controlled Release, Biomaterials, Theranostics and etc.
