Chunping Ma was a former doctoral student from Aug 2018 to Dec 2019. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Hohai University, where his previous research focus was non-destructive identification of complex structural flaws by numerical methods. His project was focused on developing design strategy and computational tools in developing adaptive architected materials for smart civil infrastructure. In his spare time, badminton, cooking, and Sci-Fi models are his favorite recreations. Currently, he is completing his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Ohio State under the supervision of Prof. Ruike Zhao who recently moved her lab to Stanford.
