Advanced MEMS Technology and Microengineering

This course covers the topics in advanced micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) technology and applications in microengineering. The MEMS technology in microelectronics, micromechanical systems, and biomedical sensing has been developed for decades. This course focuses on the principles of microfabrication for microelectronics, sensors, MEMS, and other synthetic microsystems that have applications in medicine and biology.

Course (UG)

Introduction to BioMEMS and Lab-on-chip

This course covers the topics in Bio-micro-electro-mechanical systems (BioMEMS) technology and the applications in lab-on-chip. The MEMS and microfabrication technology in microelectronics, micromechanical systems, and biomedical sensing has been developed for decades. This course focuses on the principles of microfabrication for microelectronics, sensors, bioMEMS, and other synthetic microsystems that have applications in medicine and biology.

Research Overview and Design (ROAD) to Excellence

This course is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to conduct effective and rigorous research across various disciplines. Through a combination of theoretical concepts, practical exercises, and real-world examples, students will learn how to formulate research questions, design studies, collect and analyze data, and communicate their findings effectively. The course will emphasize critical thinking, ethical considerations, and the application of various research methods.
