We work on Rice Biology and Genetics intending to understand the genetic and molecular basis of rice quality, cold tolerance, and yield. We exploit the natural diversity of rice genomes to identify the markers or individual nucleotides responsible for quality, cold tolerance, and yield variation. PCR-based markers have been developed to improve eating quality, cold tolerance, and yield.
