Sheng Chen

Sheng is an Associate Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion, School of Energy and Power Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Prior to joining HUST, Sheng obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2019. His doctoral thesis focused on the agglomeration, migration, and deposition of microparticles in electrostatic and flow fields. It received recognition as an Excellent Ph.D. Thesis from Tsinghua University, the Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis Award from the Chinese Society of Particuology, and the Springer Nature Outstanding Thesis Award. So far, sheng has authored 40+ journal articles on J. Fluid Mech., Phys. Rev. E, Phys. Rev. Fluids, Chem. Eng. Sci., etc., and a monograph titled "Microparticle Dynamics in Electrostatic and Flow Fields," published by Springer Nature Press. Sheng has been awarded two grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and a project funded by the National Key Research and Development Program.
