Tao Shen, PI at the Center for Transformative Molecular Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is a tenured associate professor, Ph.D. supervisor, and recipient of the National High-Level Talents Program for Young Professionals and the Shanghai Overseas High-Level Talents Program. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2012 at the Science Base Class of China Agricultural University, with advisors Professors Hui Zhe Lu and Hongchao Guo. He earned his Ph.D. degree in 2017 from Peking University under the guidance of Professor Ning Jiao. From 2018 to 2022, he conducted postdoctoral research at Cornell University in the United States, collaborating with Professor Tristan Lambert. In recent years, Dr. Tao has published nearly 30 research papers, including as the first author in prestigious academic journals such as Nature (1 paper), Science (1 paper), Journal of the American Chemical Society (2 papers), and Angewandte Chemie International Edition (1 paper). His current research focuses on the selective activation and reassembly of inert bonds and green synthetic chemistry.
