Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is one of the most important new energy technologies. PSCs have the advantages of simple preparation method, tunable band gap, high carrier mobility, large absorption coefficient and low defect density. The research group is mainly engaged in the theoretical design and research of photoelectric functional materials in the field of PSCs.

Pingping Sun Principle Investigator Professor Theoretical calculation of functional perovskite materials
Sun Pingping is a professor of School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hainan University, a doctoral supervisor, and a high-level talent in Hainan Province. She graduated from the School of Chemistry of Beijing Institute of Technology in 2017, then engaged in postdoctoral research at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and joined the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Hainan University in December 2021. She has long been engaged in the theoretical simulation of photoelectric-photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cells and the mechanism of HER, ORR and CO2RR in photoelectrocatalytic reactions. The articles were published in PNAS, Angew.Chem, Mater.Today, Nano Energy, npj Comput.Mater., J.Phys.Chem.Lett., Nanoscale, J.Phys.Chem.C and other journals.
