Precision Synthesis of Crystalline Mesoporous Materials
The Lan Group at IMU conducts research focused on the essential mechanisms of assembly chemistry for innovatively creation of unprecedented mesostructures. We embark on the rational design and syntheses of a wide variety of crystalline mesoporous materials with novel compositions, architectures that are scarcely explored and can be applied in areas of energy-related storage, conversion, photo- and electro-catalysis. The inspiration for these novel investigations generally stems from fundamental and useless curiosity, while our intellectually stimulated mesoporous species actually perform beyond mere curiosity. Our research methodology employs integrated synthetic chemistry, microscopic and spectroscopic techniques, computational simulations. The Research Group has pioneered the researches towards fundamentally creating and understanding unique mesoporous materials for advancing mesoporous family and innovative technologies in versatile domains.
