Haibin Chu Professor and Doctoral Advisor
Professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Inner Mongolia University, Doctoral Supervisor, Senior Member of the Chinese Chemical Society, and a distinguished talent recognized by the "Grassland Talent" program in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, as well as a member of the "New Century 321 Talent Project" of Inner Mongolia. In recent years, leveraging the rare earth resources of Inner Mongolia and addressing the significant strategic needs of the nation and the autonomous region in the rare earth industry, this professor has been dedicated to the synthesis and fundamental research of rare earth inorganic materials. He has made groundbreaking achievements in the design and fabrication of rare earth functional materials and carbon materials, and their applications in biomass conversion and nano-electrocatalysis. His research has been honored with the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award (ranked 4th) and the First Prize of the Ministry of Education Natural Science Award (ranked 3rd). He has led over 10 scientific projects, including four National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) grants, Inner Mongolia Major Basic Open Projects, Inner Mongolia Natural Science Fund Key Projects, and Inner Mongolia Natural Science Fund Outstanding Youth Fund Projects. With a prolific publication record, he has authored 90 high-impact papers in prestigious international journals such as JACS, ACS Catalysis, and Advanced Functional Materials, and holds 16 authorized national invention patents. He also serves as a committee member of the Chinese Chemical Society's Young Chemists Committee, a standing director of the Inner Mongolia Rare Earth Society, and a young editorial board member of the Journal of Rare Earths.
