HUI WANG Professor Material Genome Engneering

Professor of Central South University, doctoral supervisor. Member of State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy, dean of department of physics, vice dean of Hunan Key Laboratory of Super Microstructure and Ultrafast Process. Ph.D. of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, joint Ph.D. of University of California, Irvine. Professor Wang proposes to develop and apply density functional theory, molecular dynamics simulations and monte carlo approaches to address fundamental physical issues in the design of new functional materials. Until now, professor Wang has published ~60 SCI papers with 20 papers being first or corresponding author, mainly includes: Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Physical Review Letters, etc.

 It is our goal to conduct creative research on both bulk, interface/surface and low-dimensional structures of fundamental importance through multi-scale calculation and simulaitons at the atomic-scale level, with an eye towards designing novel materials and exploring new physics for technological breakthrough.
