Pei Cheng Professor
Dr. Cheng is a professor in the College of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University. Dr. Cheng obtained his B.E. in polymer materials and engineering from Sichuan University in 2011, and Ph.D. in Polymer Physics and Chemistry from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) in 2016 (Advisor: Prof. Xiaowei Zhan). Then he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 2017 to 2020 (Advisor: Prof. Yang Yang). He joined Sichuan University in 2021 as a professor. Dr. Cheng has published 30 papers as first/corresponding author in high-tier journals such as Nat. Photonics, Joule, Matter, Adv. Mater.(7), Energy Environ. Sci. (3), Nat. Commun., Chem. Soc. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., Acc. Mater. Res., Adv. Energy Mater. (2), ACS Nano (2), ACS Energy Lett., Mater. Horiz., Adv. Sci., etc. Dr. Cheng has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers with citations over 6800 times, and has an H-index of 38. 19 of his papers were cited over 100 times, 5 papers were selected as ESI Hot Papers, 19 papers were selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers. His research works were highlighted by Materials Views, Materials Views China, Science News (for Students), Science Trends, etc, and Energy Environ. Sci. and Mater. The Functional Polymer and Device Group is established on the basis of the polymer discipline of Sichuan University, a national key subject, and focuses on the frontiers of polymer science and engineering. The main research directions in the Group include: (1) high-performance polymer solar cells; 2) multifunctional integration of polymers and devices; 3) design and application of aromatic heterocyclic polymers. The Group has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers on Nat. Photon., Joule etc.
