Jiaxi Cui Professor

Prof. Jiaxi Cui received his PhD in 2008 from Peking University. Between 2008 and 2015, prof. Cui served as a postdoctoral fellow at Peking University(the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering), Max-Plank Institute for Polymer Research (the Dynamic Biointerfaces Lab) and Harvard University (the Biomineralization and Biomimetics Lab) successively. From 2015 to 2020, he served as Independent Group leader of Switchable Microfluidics at Leibniz Institute for New Materials, He is interested understanding of dynamic polymer networks, programmable soft (micro)actuators, switchable surfaces and functional coatings. He has published more than 100 articles in the leading journals such as Nature Materials, Nature Communication Angew Chem, Advanced Materials.

Main research interests include: biomimetic polymer materials, polymer coatings and interfaces, polymer network structures, hydrogels, self-healing materials, and biomedical materials. At present, the research group is carrying out basic and applied research at the same time.
