Dr. Chuanbin Yang is currently an Associate Professor at the first Affiliated Hosptial of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He obtained a PhD degree at the University of Hong Kong. His research areas of interest is: (1) Regulatory mechanisms and biological functions of autophagy in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer; (2) Targeting autophagy with small molecules for treating major diseases; (3) Pharmacology and mechanisms of action of natural products.
