Chen Xiangyang, Joined the Center for Transformative Molecular Frontiers at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in March 2024 as a Principal Investigator (PI), a tenured Associate Professor, and a Ph.D. supervisor. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2017. From 2017 to 2023, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His research primarily focuses on theoretical and computational chemistry, with a special emphasis on organic chemistry reaction catalysis mechanisms and selectivity. To date, he has authored or co-authored over 10 papers published in top international journals such as Nature, Nat. Commun., Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., and J. Phys. Chem. Lett. Additionally, as a collaborating author, he has contributed to over 50 papers published in high-impact SCI journals, accumulating over 900 citations with an h-index of 21.
