RTKs play critical roles in signal transduction pathways that mediate cell proliferation, differentiation, migration and metabolism, both in organismal development and in homeostasis. My laboratory is focus on the structural basis by which the fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR) are activated upon ligand binding. Based on the structure of RTKs, we have been designing and investigating novel RTK small-molecule kinase inhibitors/degraders for the treatment of cancers and inflammatory diseases. In addition, we are interested in the identification of antagonist of the RTK downstream signaling proteins such as SHP2.
