ZHAO'S GROUP School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Guizhou University
Zhao is an Associate Professor and Academic Discipline Leader at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Guizhou University. He is also recognized as a Guizhou Provincial Thousand-Level Talent and serves as a Master's Degree Supervisor. Zhao graduated from Nanjing University in June 2019 with a Ph.D. in Chemistry, under the guidance of Professors Youting Wu and Xingbang Hu. Since joining Guizhou University in September 2019, he has conducted independent scientific research, focusing on creating novel ionic functional materials (molecules) for applications in gas separation and conversion, environmental pollutant control and resource utilization, and cleaner chemical production. His work has resulted in over 50 SCI publications in prestigious journals such as Nat. Catal., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., and AIChE J., which have been cited more than 3,000 times. Additionally, he holds five authorized national invention patents. Zhao has received several honors, including the Jiangsu Excellent Doctoral Dissertation award (2020), the National Ionic Liquids and Green Processes Rookie Award (2020), and was named a "Most Beautiful Worker" in Guizhou Province (2022).
