Wenlei Zhu

Wenlei Zhu, Jiangsu Distinguished Professor, Mentor of Ph.D. students, School of the Environment, Nanjing University(NJU). His research direction is carbon neutrality and smart energy. His research work focuses on the detection, conversion, and recycling of greenhouse gases and carbon-containing pollutants. Before joining NJU, he was a research professor in Washington State University from 2019-2021. He received his B.S. in chemistry from Nanjing University in 2010. He got his Ph.D. in chemistry from Brown University in 2015. From 2015 to 2019, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, Columbia University, and University of Delaware. He has published more than 40 SCI papers as a first author or corresponding author in world-class academic journals such as Nat. Energy, Nat. Commun, et al. Currently, He has more than 5900 citations with an H-index of 32. He has given more than 20 invited talks in international conferences and university seminars. He is the associate editor of Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology.
