Research Interests:

I am interested in interdisciplinary challenges involving Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Synthetic Biology to elucidate how these domains make the reclamation of polluted waters, green recovery of precious non-renewable minerals/metals in cost and energy-efficient way that lead us towards a sustainable environment and circular economy. In particular, I am interested in;

·       Microbe-microbe and microbe-meta interactions for resource recovery

·       Metal/organic antibacterials for biomedical applications

·       Biodegradation of organic pollutants

We aimed to translate research in academia into an environmental and industrially useable platform for resource recovery, environment sustainability, production of bio-based chemicals and biomaterials, and understanding microbe-microbe interactions under extreme/special environments by exploiting state-of-the-art analytical, molecular, and omics approaches.
