Recently, the research work carried out by Dr. Zhao Fengzhu of Yin Dachuan’s research group was published in "Lab on a Chip" (Impact Factor 6.774, JCR Journal Division 1) titled "A novel sample delivery system based on circular motion for in situ serial synchrotron crystallography" , SCI Division 1, Chinese Academy of Sciences). This research proposes for the first time to realize serial crystallographic sample transport research through circular motion. According to the idea of sample transport based on circular motion, a new type of microfluidic rotating target sample transport device was designed and developed, which combines the features of circular motion, microfluidic technology and in-situ diffraction. Its advantages include The conveying speed has a wide adjustable range, low background noise and low sample consumption. Using this device, in situ serial crystallography experiments with lysozyme and proteinase K as model samples at the Shanghai synchrotron radiation facility, and successfully determined the structures of lysozyme and proteinase K.

Dr. Fengzhu Zhao from Northwestern Polytechnical University (the first unit) is the first author of the paper. Professor Yin Dachuan of Northwestern Polytechnical University and Professor Jianhua He from the Institute of Applied Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences are the co-corresponding authors of the paper.
