Recently, Professor Yin Dachuan’s research group made a breakthrough in the research of polyvinylamine/modified hyaluronic acid to construct hydrophilic antibacterial functional coatings. The related research results were entitled "Layer-by-layer coating of polyvinylamine and dopamine-modified" Hyaluronic acid inhibits the growth of bacteria and tumor cell lines on the surface of materials ".The long article was published in the journal"Applied Surface Science".

This research project uses covalent cross-linked layer-by-layer self-assembly technology to coat polyvinylamine (PVAm) and dopamine-modified hyaluronic acid on gold, stainless steel, glass, PVC, PS cell culture plates and other materials On the surface, a high-transparency hydrophilic antibacterial coating is constructed. Under the premise of good compatibility with normal lymphocytes, it can significantly inhibit the proliferation and growth of THP-1 (human acute monocytic leukemia) cells, and has a wide range of applications prospect.

Dr. Zhang Tuodi from Northwestern Polytechnical University (the first unit) is the first author of this paper. Professor Yin Dachuan, Associate Professor Deng Xudong (co-author) of Northwestern Polytechnical University and Professor Zheng Xing of Xi'an University of Technology are the co-corresponding authors of this paper.
