Professor Miao Yuqing is the doctoral advisor, the vice president of the School of Materials and Chemistry, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, director of the Institute of Bismuth Science, leader of the Strategic Small Metals and Health Medical Materials Team, director of the Rare Metal Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), editorial Board of the Chinese Chemical Letters, deputy chief editor of Frontiers in Chemistry, director of the China Science and Technology News Association, member of the Shanghai Popular Science Writers Association, the winner of second level of the "New Century 151 Talent Project" in Zhejiang Province and the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Professor Miao carried out research around bismuth, and pay attention to the physics and chemistry of bismuth, bismuth-based nanomaterials and their applications in the fields of photocatalysis, biomedicine, energy and environment. He has publised more than 200 SCI papers at Chem Rev., Biosensor. Bioelectronics. and other SCI journals, with a maximum of 400 citations for a single article, and a total of more than 3000 citations. Four papers have entered the ESI high citation.
