  • The increasing need for more efficient synthetic methods and sustainable processes can be seen as a major driving force for new inventions; it also stimulates the creative rethinking of known concepts, which, in turn, will lead to the development of innovative chemistry. The research interest of our group focuses on synthesis of biologically active compounds in concert with the discovery and the development of new reactions and strategies for organic synthesis. We are inspired by the pursuit of new concepts involving new catalysts, green techniques, and new reaction mechanisms. Visible light is inexhaustible, environmentally benign, and easy to handle. Moreover, light excitation is especially favorable to processes of oxidation and reduction. From these points of view, the use of visible light as a driving force for chemical reactions has attracted our attentions. Currently, our research group focused primarily in the field of visible light photoredox catalysis, exploring its unique catalytic performance and developing new organic reactions. The concerns include:
  •  1)Synthesis of heterocyclic compounds using visible light photoredox catalysis.
  •  2)Visible light-mediated C-F bond activation.
  •  3)New reactions involving diazo compounds as the coupling partners.
