Jun Zheng

Dr. Jun Zheng (郑军) was born in 1989 in ChangZhou, Jiangsu province, China, and received his BSc in chemistry from Soochow University in 2011. He obtained his PhD from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC) in 2016 under the supervision of Prof. Shu-Li You before doing postdoctoral studies with Prof. Bernhard Breit at the University of Freiburg, Germany. From July, 2022, he worked at School of Pharmacy, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). His current research interests include asymmetric catalysis, radical chemistry, synthetic methodology, natural product synthesis, as well as medicinal chemistry. He is the recipient of National High-Level Youth Talents Award (2022), Shanghai High-Level Youth Talents Award (2021), Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (2017), Chinese Academy of Sciences outstanding PhD thesis (2017), SABIC-CAS Scholarship (2016) and CAS President Award (2016).
