School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology
Zhang Junji, Member of the Communist Party of China, Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Chemical and Molecular Engineering, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. In 2012, he graduated from East China University of Science and Technology majoring in Applied Chemistry. In 2017, he went to Hebrew University of Israel as a visiting scholar assigned by China Scholarship Council. He has presided over 6 national and provincial projects, such as the Excellent Youth Project, the Excellent Youth Project and the Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and served as the youth editorial Board member of Chinese Chemical Letters (China Chemical Letters). His research fields include advanced research on the construction of functional dyes for fine chemicals and biological applications. He is the first author and corresponding author of Nature Communications, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew.Chem. Int.Ed., Chem, CCS Chem. More than 30 research papers have been published in famous journals, including Photochromic Materials, with a total of more than 3000 citations, and one English monograph of Photochromic dyes, Photochromic Materials: Preparation, Properties, and Application (Wiley-VCH, 2016). In 2019, he was awarded Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Enlightening Star.

1) Photochromic functional dye creation: new strategies and parent creation of photochromic dyes with visible light and long wavelength ( λ> 600 nm); 2) Expansion of new applications of photoregulated biology: photochromic dyes are used in super-resolution imaging probes and photocontrolled hydrogels as biomedical materials; 3) Exploration of organic/ionic thermoelectric materials: wearable thermoelectric materials based on functional dyes and ionic thermoelectric systems.
