Wei Zhao Dr. Wei Zhao    Associate Professor, Doctoral supervisor Catalysis & Clean Energy Laboratory
Dr. Wei Zhao completed his doctorate in physical chemistry at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany) in 2013. After that, he worked at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as a postdoctoral fellow for one year. Later, he worked in the department of chemistry at the University of Washington (U.S.) as a research associate from 2015 to 2018. Since July 2018, he has started his tenure-tracked faculty position in Institute for Advanced Study at Shenzhen University, and become a tenured associate professor in 2022. His current research focuses on energy chemistry and electrocatalysis. After he started the independent research career in July of 2018, he has produced 22 highly regarded publications as the corresponding author in flagship journals, e.g., JACS, ACS Catalysis, Green Chemistry, et al., which have amassed more than 1500 citations, H-index = 21.
