To debate the crises of global warming and ecosystem imbalance caused by the greenhouse gas effect, our group mainly focus on:

1. How to convert CO2 to value-added fuels over specific architectures

(Room temperature) Electric reduction CO2 energy storage system and its extended application.  
High value-added fuels or chemicals are prepared by CO2 reduction using electricity generated from renewable energy sources at room temperature.

(High temperature) All solid oxide electrolytic cell and its extended application.
Electrolysis of CO
2 and/or H2O to produce high value added fuels or chemicals using oxygen ion solid oxide electrolytic cell.

2. How to reduce CO2 emission from the source.

(High temperature) All solid state proton oxide cell and its extended application.
The proton solid oxide fuel cell is used to dehydrogenate alkanes to produce ethylene and generate electricity at the same time, which can reduce the waste of alkanes, avoid the production of CO2 and greatly improve the selectivity of ethylene.

3. Electrochemical extraction of mineral resources. 

(Room temperature or specified temperature) Electrochemical extraction of mineral resources.  

Using electrochemical technology to extract resources efficiently and stably.
