Hongcheng Mi was born and raised in Suizhong, Liaoning, China. He received his bachelor of Engineering degree from Northeastern University. Then he entered Central South University to obtain a master degree (expected in June 2022). From July 2021, he joined Professor Dr. Subiao Liu's group. In the future his research will focus on uranium extraction from seawater.
