Ziqiang Rong Professor Transition Metal Catalysis & Asymmetric Catalysis
Ziqiang was born in Zibo, Shandong, China. He obtained a joint master degree form Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC) in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Shu-Li You, and then completed his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry in 2016 at National University of Singapore under the guidance of Professor Yu Zhao. After that, he worked with Prof. Guangbin Dong at the University of Chicago as a postdoctoral associate in the field of transition metal catalysis. Since 2018, he joined Institute of Flexible Electronics at Northwestern Polytechnical University as a professor. His research focuses on the development of efficient, sustainable catalytic methods for green and effective organic transformations and asymmetric catalysis.
