Bin ZHAO Shenzhen University, Distinguished Associate Professor QDs Photo-Electrocatalysis

Bin ZHAO is a Distinguished Associate Professor at Shenzhen University, where he also serves as a master's supervisor. He has been recognized as a B-list Young Science and Technology Star in Shanghai and a C-list overseas high-level talent in Shenzhen's Peacock Plan, as well as a C-list leading talent in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. From 2014 to 2018, he conducted postdoctoral research at overseas institutions including the University of Limerick in Ireland and the University of Jena in Germany. Since returning to China in 2018, he has been actively engaged in research and teaching at Shenzhen University. In recent years, he has published over 40 high-quality SCI research papers as first author or corresponding author in leading journals such as Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Energy, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, Small Methods, Materials Today Nano, and Journal of Materials Chemistry A. He has also been granted over 10 national invention patents. As a principal investigator, he has been awarded a number of national and provincial-level research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Young Scientist Fund, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission's Basic Research Field Project, Shanghai Young Science and Technology Star Program, Shanghai Non-governmental International Science and Technology Cooperation Fund, Shenzhen Natural Science Foundation, Shenzhen High-level Talent Scientific Research Startup Fund, National "863" Project (sub-project), and Shenzhen Peacock Team (sub-project).
