The Meng group mainly develop novel cobalt-catalyzed enantioselective reactions. Our research interests focus on carbon–carbon bond foming reactions initiated by low-valent cobalt-based catalysts. We take advantage of chiral ligands to accurately control the reaction pathways and selectivities of the organocobalt intermediates, developing intriguing enantioselective reaction modes and elementary steps of organocobalt chemistry and solving the longstanding issues in chemical synthesis.
