As a previous (2015) summer research student, Richard recently rejoined the group as a postdoc fellow. He obtained a DPhil from University of Oxford with Prof. Paul D. Beer in 2021, working on anion and ion-pair recognition with mechanically interlocked structures. Prior to this, he received his BSc from the University of Hong Kong, finishing a final year research project with Prof. V. W. W. Yam. Currently, he is working on the synthesis of high-order catenanes. In his spare time, he enjoys running and reading.
