Terpenoids are the largest and structurally most diverse family of natural products that are found in all forms of life and possess a myriad of structural and functional roles in biology. Dong’s lab is interested in terpenoids (especially of bacteria origin) discovery, biosynthesis, and synthetic biology. Research Interests: 1) the discovery and biosynthesis of bacterial terpenoids;  2) the enzymology of terpene cyclases and oxidases; 3) the synthetic biology of terpenoids.
