Hengyu Guo

Dr. Guo Hengyu, who completed his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies at Chongqing University (under the supervision of Professor Hu Chenguo), is a jointly trained PhD and postdoctoral researcher in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology (under the supervision of Academician Wang Zhonglin). As a Hongshen Outstanding Scholar at Chongqing University, he has received support from various projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Excellent Young Scholar Fund, National Key Research and Development Program, key projects from the JWKJW, and the Chongqing Youth Top Talent Program. To date, we have published over 180 SCI papers in journals such as Sci. Robot., Sci. Adv., Nat. Sustain., Nat. Commun., and Adv. Mater., with 30 ESI highly cited papers. Our papers have been cited over 23,000 times, and our H-index is 84. We have applied for/been granted 22 invention patents. In collaboration with the State Grid Corporation of China, we have developed a self-powered condition monitoring device for power transmission lines based on nanogenerator technology. Dr. Guo has been named a "Highly Cited Researcher" by Clarivate Analytics in both 2022 and 2023.
