Professor
Northeast Forestry University
Bing Tian was born in Hunan, P. R. of China, in 1987. He received his BSc degree from Northeast Forestry University in 2010, and his MSc degree from East China University of Science and Technology in 2014 (supervised by Professor Xiaofeng Tong). In 2017, he completed his PhD in the laboratory of Professor A. Stephen K. Hashmi at the Heidelberg University. Since 2018, he conducted his postdoctoral research at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) under the supervision of Professor Guosheng Liu. In 2021, he joined the Northeast Forestry University as a professor to start his independent research career. His current research interests include the development of new organic methodologies for transformation of biomass into high-value chemicals and synthesis of functionalized biomass-based materials.
