From September 10th to 22nd, 2024, Professor Yang Zhenjun led four doctoral students to Germany for an exchange visit, with the main activities taking place at Ruhr University Bochum in Germany. Together with the team of Professor Gunther Meschke, Vice President of the university and a member of the European Academy of Sciences, they conducted two days of productive academic discussions and exchanges around the research themes funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Sino-German Center (Mobility M-0172). In addition, Professor Yang Zhenjun was invited to serve as a reviewer for the thesis defense of a doctoral student at the university. At the invitation of Professor Carolin Birk, head of the Institute of Applied Mechanics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Professor Yang gave an hour-long academic lecture at the institute, with nearly 30 participants in the discussion, achieving very good results.
