Aggregation-Induced Emission

In article 2202907 by Pengfei Zhang, Ben Zhong Tang, and co-workers, living mitochondria is used as a “submarine” to deliver aggregation-induced emission (AIE) photosenzitizers for killing the target cancer cells hidden in the “deep sea” of the human body. The therapeutic function of the AIE photosenzitizers can be remotely activated by microwave irradiation. The external mitochondria can also be helpful for tumor microenvironmental remediation.
