Dr. Xin Wang received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Northwestern Polytechnic University. He later joined Université de Montréal as a Ph.D. candidate, and obtained a Doctor's Degree in Chemistry in 2015. He had served as an Associate Professor at Southwest Petroleum University, a Senior Chemist at EnvisionTec Inc., and a Research Assistant Professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology. Dr. Xin Wang joined the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory (SLAB) in June 2021 as the Principal Investigator of the Environmental & Energy Polymer Materials Group. His research interests include energy polymers, stimulus responsive polymers, self-healing polymers, materials genome, as well as other functional polymer components for energy capture and storage applications. So far, he has chaired or participated as core member in 6 research funding projects. Dr. Xin Wang has published over 60 peer-reviewed research papers in reputable journals including Angewandte Chemie Int. Ed., Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Macromolecule, etc., and filed 8 China Invention Patents (3 issued). He also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, including Polymer Physics, Polymer Chemistry, Polymerization Engineering, Modern Characterization Techniques of Materials.
