Since the construction of the Nano-Optics Laboratory began in 2021, it has adhered to the development concept of "steady progress and first-class construction" and formulated detailed, clear, easy-to-comply and easy-to-operate "Nano-Optics Laboratory Safety System" and "Nano-Optics Laboratory Emergency Plan" based on its own characteristics. All of them are posted in conspicuous places in the laboratory, which effectively standardizes the experimental behavior of laboratory personnel and improves the laboratory personnel's ability to respond in emergencies.
The laboratory regularly organizes the study of laboratory safety regulations, safety knowledge and operating specifications. It uses group meeting time to regularly conduct safety self-inspections and self-tests to promptly identify potential risk sources and continuously improve safety facilities. After the new students enter the school, the laboratory director personally emphasizes the laboratory safety requirements and guides the graduate students to carry out experiments, so that the new students can more directly master the necessary laboratory safety knowledge and safety protection measures.
Secondly, the laboratory pays great attention to the management of details. There is meticulous and strict management in terms of electrical safety, storage of consumable parts, and laser protection, which provides the greatest guarantee for the safety of experimental personnel.
The Nano-Optics Laboratory attaches great importance to the details of safety management work, has formed a clear, complete and operational laboratory safety system, actively built high-level and professional safety protection facilities, adhered to effective safety education, and continued to create a strong safety culture atmosphere. It was awarded the title of "Five-Star Safety Laboratory" of Wuhan University in 2023.
