Dr. Qaiser Mahmood is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow under the program of CAS-PIFI fellowship at the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). In 2014, He got CAS-TWAS President Fellowship and obtained his Ph.D. from Institute of Chemistry, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China under supervision of Professor Wen-Hua Sun. During PhD studies, He was nominated for two times as a best student of Key Laboratory of Engineering Plastics, Institute of Chemistry in 2016 and 2017 respectively, best speaker as well as best student of the Institute of Chemistry, UCAS in 2017 and excellent Graduate student of University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2018. Before coming to China, He has completed M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) at the institute of Chemistry, University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2010 and M.Phil. (Organic Chemistry) at the department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan in 2012. As a scientist trained in the fundamentals of chemistry, His research interest interfaces the discipline of inorganic and organic chemistry, polymer chemistry and physics, organometallic catalysts, olefin polymerization and organic transformation reactions.
