As far as we remember, last meeting on addiction in China was held in 2006, Kunming, organized by Dr. Lin Xu. Fifteen years after that meeting, we had the association on addiction and brain sciences founded under CADAPT. A group of young scienctists and psychiatrists, led by Dr. Yingjie Zhu, Tifei Yuan, Yanxue Xue, Mei Yang and myself, gathered together to communicate, discuss and collaborate on many aspects of addiction research. This year, our association held the 2023 Shenzhen Meeting on Addiction and Brain Sciences in Shenzhen, April 9^th-10^th.  Nearly 200 scientists, students, psychiatrists, clinicians and government staff participated in the meeting.  Over 40 renown scientists gave talks various topics on addiction research. This meeting was supported by the association CADAPT, SIAT-BCBDI, and Industry partners.
