Direct methanol fuel cells are a promising device for producing electricity by the methanol oxidation reac-tion (MOR) at the anode. But the slow kinetics of MOR still hinders its widely commercialization. Here, we report an enhanced current density on Pt catalyst supported on nitrogen doped carbon nanotubes (N-CNT) decorated FeP. Pt/FeP15%/N-CNT displayed 3.4 times higher forward peak current density than commercial Pt/C. The improved performance was attributed to the change of the electronic state of Pt nanoparticle through the electronic interaction between Pt and FeP.
