Jiajie Xu Professor School of Marine Science, Ningbo University
Jiajie Xu is a Professor at the School of Marine Sciences, Ningbo, China. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2009 from China Agricultural University where he studied biomass conversation technology. Then he worked with Professor Largus Angenent as a post-doctor at Cornell University to study waste carbon recovery through chain elongation processing under anaerobic conditions. After that, he moved to Saudi Arabia and worked with Professor Pascal Saikaly at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology where he worked on the discovery of chain elongation microbes from special environmental conditions. Currently, his research interests mostly focus on wastewater treatment and resource recovery.
