Chak Shing Kwan Assistant Professor    

Kwan Chak-Shing is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Greater Bay Area University (under construction) and the head of an independent research group. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2018 from Hong Kong Baptist University, under the supervision of Professor Leung Chan-Fai.


He has conducted postdoctoral research at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the City University of New York's Advanced Science Research Center (Advisor: Adam Braunschweig). In 2021, he received the Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship, which allowed him to conduct research at the TU Dortmund (Advisor: Guido Clever) in Germany.


His research interests primarily focus on mechanochemistry synthesis techniques, green and sustainable synthesis technologies, supramolecular chemistry synthesis, and fundamental applications. In recent years, he has co-authored 19 papers published in journals such as Nature CommunicationsAdvanced Functional MaterialsMacromoleculesSmall Methods, and Organic Letters.
