Congratulations on the acceptance of BR-regulated heat stress tolerance paper by Plant Communications

Congrats to Dr. Jinyu Luo! This paper reveals how brassinosteroids play key roles in plant thermotolerance at molecular level. The key negative component of BR signaling, BIN2, can phosphorylate and inhibit nuclear localization and DNA binding ability of heat shock signaling positive regulator HsfA1d to suppress plant thermotolerance. BR signaling promotes plant thermotolerance by activating HsfA1d through releasing BIN2-mediated suppression on HsfA1d.
