In November 2021, the Chongqing Science and Technology Youth Federation confirmed the winners of the 7th Chongqing Top Ten Science and Technology Youth Awards, and Professor Hu Xiaosong, the head of the vehicle power system team of Chongqing University, was on the list.

        Professor Hu Xiaosong focuses on the basic theory and application basic research of new energy vehicle power system control and optimization.  More than 180 high-level academic papers have been published, and the research work has been selected as the key and hot frontiers in the engineering field of "Research Frontiers 2019" issued by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The academic influence in the field of lithium-ion battery state estimation is ranked second in the world.

      The Chongqing Top Ten Science and Technology Youth Award is a city-wide social organization appraisal and commendation project established by the 87th Municipal Government Executive Meeting on April 17, 2015 and approved by the 75th Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee Meeting on June 3, aiming to reward  For young scientific and technological talents who have made outstanding achievements in economic development, social progress and technological innovation, no more than 10 commendations and awards will be made each year.
