Recently, Professor Xiaosong Hu, the head of the Vehicle Power System Lab (VPSL) of Chongqing University, was selected as the top 1% of scientists in the world and was invited to become the member of the Advisory Board of the Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN). The Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2016. It is organized and guided by a committee composed of nearly 400 world’s top scientists. Its vision is to realize science without borders. The members of this organization are the top 1% of scientists in various fields in the world, including 16 Nobel and 2 Abel Laureates.

USERN has 15,000 members from more than 70 countries worldwide. Under the leadership and guidance of the USERN Advisors, it has brought an H-index of 42 and more than 1,000 published documents within only five years of scientific activity. In addition, USERN has committed to deal with science in the most humane and scientific way possible, and has established 49 USERN offices around the world, focused on academic exchanges and training of young researchers, to tackling the invisible border between countries and academia.
