Introduction of SNNU and School of Chemistry and Chemical Engeneering:

Shaanxi Normal University is located in Xi'an, the central city of Western China. It is a key university under the Ministry of Education and under the "211 Project" of the State. It is also a university under the "985" platform for innovation of advantageous disciplines in teacher education. The College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Shaanxi Normal University has excellent talents and good teaching and scientific research conditions. It has developed into a college with certain disciplinary advantages in the country and a major chemical and chemical town in the west. In the third round of discipline evaluation of colleges and universities in China in 2012, chemistry ranked 23rd, and the third in the west. The Institute has a strong scientific research atmosphere and a positive learning style, and has trained a group of high-end young scientific and technological innovative talents in chemical industry.

Head of the research group:

Liu Fengyi, Professor, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shaanxi Normal University, Special Professor of "Hundred People Program" in Shaanxi Province, Member of Chemical Dynamics Committee of China Chemical Society. 

He has been engaged in theoretical and computational chemistry research for a long time. At present, he has published more than 50 papers in JACS, Angew. Chem., Chem. Rev. and other magazines. In 2015, the project was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shaanxi Basic Science Research Program and the special project of the basic scientific research fees of central universities. 

The laboratory has the first-class software and hardware computing platform and scientific research team in the western region. Now we are looking for young scholars with aspirations to work together for development.

Requirements for Post-doctoral candidates:

Doctorate in Quantum Chemistry, Computational Chemistry and Molecular Simulation.

Has published high quality papers in international journals in related fields, and has strong writing ability in English.

With strong interest in scientific research, eager for success and good team spirit.

Background in electronic excited states and molecular photochemistry is prefered. 

Research directions:

Computational photochemistry and photophysics, studying the photochemistry and photophysics processes of molecular excited states and their applications in different fields.

Relevant topics include:

(1) Theoretical research and design of light-driven molecular motors and switches;

(2) Chemi- and bio-luminescence mechanisms;

(3) Luminescence and quenching mechanism of fluorescent dyes.

Treatments:
