Uranyl-organic framework incorporating Ru(bpy)32+ for improved photoelectrocatalytic U(VI) reduction

A novel uranyl-organic framework (UOF) is synthesized with a fourfold interpenetrating stable structure.

 This UOF can insert the photosensitizer Ru(bpy)32+ successfully due to its appropriate channel size.

 The composite material can achieve an 81.2% efficiency for U(VI) extraction. 

本文合成了一种新型的铀酰有机骨架(UOF),可以成功插入光敏剂Ru(bpy)32+。该复合材料可以实现81.2%U(VI)提取效率,是纯UOF的两倍。

In this paper, a novel uranyl-organic framework (UOF) was synthesized, which can insert the photosensitizer Ru(bpy)32+ successfully. The composite material can achieve an 81.2% efficiency for U(VI) extraction, which is twice that of the pure UOF.
