Yuanyu Huang

Dr. Yuanyu Huang received his Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from Peking University in 2013. After 3 years postdoctoral training, he joined Beijing Institute of Technology in 2016 as an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator. He was prompted to a tenured Associated Professor in 2020 and a Full Professor in 2021. Dr. Huang’s primary research interest focuses on the development of nucleic acid-based therapeutics and vaccines, including designing and optimizing nucleic acid molecules (siRNA, mRNA, Aptamer, CRISPR/Cas, etc.), exploring innovative drug delivery system and their translational medicine applications in the treatment of diverse diseases. He has published ~50 peer-reviewed papers as the first or corresponding author in Sci Adv, Signal Transduct Target Ther, Nano Lett, Nano Today, Adv Funct Mater and other leading-edge journals. He has written more than 10 book chapters and filed 14 patents, including two authorized PCT patents. He was a winner of a National Young Talents Project, and achieved Beijing Nova Program Award. He also won the ‘Rising Star’ Award from the Chinese American Society of Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology (CASNN). He serves as the secretary-general of Chinese Association of Nanobiology, Biophysical Society of China, and the committee member of other 6 academic societies. He is an associate editor of Exploration (a Wiley journal), and the editorial board member of Chinese Chemical Letters, Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics, etc.
