Dr. Wang started his current position at Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, in Oct., 2019. His great passion on research is concentrated on Micro-Adhesion Guided Innovation and Creation (MAGIC) for particularly energy storage and pollutant filtration application. The main achievements in the last decade he has made include: (1) The development of several new functional materials and concepts for advanced energy storage and air filtration (eg. gum-like electrolyte and electrode matrix for flexible lithium ion batteries, electrochemical filtration in Li-S battery, protein nanofabrics for multi-functional air filtration etc.). (2) The development of new solid protein electrolytes with ceramic-like ion conduction (decoupled ion-conduction) via controlling chain conformation. As the leading/corresponding author, he has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in competitive journals including Adv. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., JPC-Lett., Nano Lett., etc.. He is also the primary inventor of 9 US patents with 4 licensed.
